Armorcast Products Company sells their barriers and barricades under the brand name Guardian Safety Barriers. The following are the products manufactured and marketed as Guardian Products.
Guardian Safety Barricades and Barriers: The Company provides customized units with logos, special signs and reflective tapes. Two sizes of barricades are available in Safety Orange, Safety Yellow, Safety Red, Safety White, Military Green, Desert Tan and Concrete Gray colors. Several additional features like inset areas for barricade lights, stackable design and smooth surfaces for labels and company logos may be incorporated into the products. The empty barricades weigh 40 lbs and do not need rubber bases. Barricades and barriers can be ballasted either with water or with sand.
Gawk Screen / Glare Screen: Linear low density polyethylene is used to manufacture the glare screen for inhibiting headlight glare on roads. The glare screen consists of double walled individual units that can be placed on concrete K rails or Jersey barriers and secured using steel pipes that are passed through the slots on the glare screen into pre-drilled holes on the K rails or barriers. The glare screens are compliant with the specifications stipulated by NCHRP 350 AND MUTCD.
Guardian 350 highway barriers: These are portable water ballasted barriers that conform to NCHRP 350 TL-2 (vehicles at 43.5 mph speeds) and TL-3 (vehicles speeding at 62.1 mph) standards and is a longitudinal system that can use 33 barriers as per the minimum mandated linear requirement of 198 feet. The Guardian 350 highway barrier longitudinal system has been crash tested and was found to be compliant with both Test Levels, TL 2 and TL 3. A longitudinal barrier is defined by the Federal Highway Authority (FHWA) as “devise whose primary functions are to PREVENT VEHICULAR PENETRATION and to SAFELY REDIRECT an errant vehicle away from a roadside or median hazard."
